This heavy gauge beautiful dish is made by Matthew West a prolific Dublin maker.
It weighs 2.64 troy ounces which is 25 % heavier than normal.
This type of dish was used to hold gaming counters in the eighteenth century.
Of course today it would have various other uses.
The Harp and the Hibernia hallmarks were used for Dublin made silver without the date letter
on smaller pieces of silver during the 1750-1770 period.
